Unique Windows Installed at East Midlands Airport

Pensher Skytech recently installed some unique high-performance windows at East Midlands Airport. The windows encompass an acoustic rating and a 2-hour (EI120) fire rating and were designed by the Pensher Skytech team for the extension to the cargo hub at East Midlands Airport.

The windows encompass a fire rating to protect the workers from any devices that may be contained within the packages, whilst the acoustic rating protects them from the noise of the machines. There are effectively two separate windows in each unit with a special sound absorbing perforated membrane connecting them.

The unique windows were installed by the Pensher Skytech team over a period of five days. Pensher Skytech thoroughly enjoyed utilising their expertise in high-performance products to create a complex, high-specification, bespoke window most suited for the environment.
