Doors Installed at Baltic Quayside Apartments
This week, Pensher Skytech completed a project for the prestigious Baltic Quayside apartments in Gateshead. The sought-after development overlooks the riverside and is situated next to the iconic Millennium Bridge and the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts.
Pensher Skytech worked with RMG (Residential Management Group), one of the largest and most respected property management companies in the UK, on the project. Seven doors were installed at the quayside apartments. All of the doors were manufactured in-house from steel and finished in a matte grey coating. A number of glazing options were provided, including fully glazing, half glazed, and partly glazed, depending on the door’s purpose.
Amy Lines, RMG’s Property Manager, has said: ‘We can always rely on Pensher Skytech for high-quality doors that are low maintenance and provide a long-life span. The project was completed on time and to budget, and we are pleased with the finished result.’
All of the doors installed were high-security doors. Some served as fire exit doors as well. With forced entry attacks happening every 15 seconds, of which 80% are done through doors, it is essential that buildings are fully protected against the threat of forced entry.
Derek Quinn, Pensher Skytech’s Technical Manager said, ‘We have fitted a number of entrance and exit doors on this luxury housing scheme for over a decade, and always thoroughly enjoy working on the apartments and with RMG. They clearly care about the safety of their residents by having high-security doors installed throughout the property.’
